Welcome to the Cape Coppermine Landowners Association

Featured

Nestled along the storied shores of Lac du Bonnet, Cape Coppermine is a community shaped by exploration, connected by neighbours, and grounded in the simple joy of northern living. With shared access to a beautiful beach, play structure, and boat launch, this is a place where families gather, friendships grow, and the lake sets the pace.

The Cape Coppermine Landowners Association represents and supports all property owners within the development. We work together to maintain and enhance the quality of life in our community—protecting our shared spaces, planning improvements, and fostering a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere for everyone who calls Cape Coppermine home.

As a not‑for‑profit association, our focus is on collaboration, stewardship, and building a strong sense of belonging. Throughout the year, we plan and support activities that bring neighbours together and strengthen the spirit of our lakeside community.

If you own property in this beautiful area, we invite you to join us. Becoming a member helps you stay connected, contribute your voice, and be part of shaping Cape Coppermine’s future.  Membership is easy—click here to update your contact information: Membership Form

2026 Annual Membership and Boat Launch Key

Each year the Cape Coppermine Landowners Association collects annual membership dues. The annual fee is $75.00, and your support truly helps keep Cape Coppermine running smoothly.

While membership does provide you with a boat launch key, it is also what keeps our community strong, connected, and well cared for.

Your membership directly supports:

  • Maintaining our shared spaces Our beach, play structure, and boat launch are central to life at Cape Coppermine. Membership dollars help keep these areas clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone.
  • Protecting and improving our neighbourhood The CCLA works year‑round to maintain and enhance the quality of life in our development—caring for common areas, planning improvements, and supporting the relaxed, friendly lakeside atmosphere we all value.
  • Community events that bring neighbours together Cape Coppermine Day, Movie Nights, beach cleanup days, and other gatherings are made possible because members support the Association. These events strengthen the spirit of our lakeside community.
  • A voice in shaping Cape Coppermine’s future As a not‑for‑profit association, the CCLA represents and supports all property owners. Membership ensures you stay connected, contribute your voice, and help guide decisions that affect our shared spaces and community experience.

Volunteers – Building community through giving

The Cape Coppermine Landowners Association consists entirely of volunteers who generously contribute their time to administrative tasks, maintenance, and event planning. Without these dedicated individuals, we wouldn’t enjoy our beautiful beach, boat launch, and the delightful events held annually. We extend our heartfelt thanks to every volunteer for your invaluable contributions; your efforts are deeply appreciated.

We are seeking additional volunteers for the following areas:

Cape Coppermine Day Committee Members
– General Coordinator: Oversee the entire event, coordinate various areas, and ensure adequate volunteer coverage.
– Food Coordinator: Manage the purchase of food items such as hotdogs, hamburgers, buns, drinks, chips, condiments, ice, etc., for the event. Serving dishes and a BBQ will be provided, along with a tent and table that need setting up on the day.
– Children’s Games: Organize and operate the slip and slide, assist with other games as needed, and maintain and repair existing games for this year’s use. New game ideas are also welcome.
– General Setup and Tear Down Assistants: Needed in all areas.

Grass Cutting: One additional volunteer is needed for mowing the green spaces at the beach and the ditches nearby.

General Beach Maintenance: Smooth out the sand with a drag, remove garbage and debris, and rake the swimming area to minimize weeds.

Board of Directors: Additional directors to ensure a broad representation of community members in decision-making and advocacy.

If you would like to volunteer for any of these positions, please send an email to capecoppermine2@gmail.com or contact Russ Friesen (russelljfriesen@gmail.com) for more information. We’d be happy to have you aboard!
